Welcome to the King Harbor Marlin Club!
Contrary to the name of our club, we are much more than just Marlin anglers. Our club members, of all ages, fish for anything that swims in Salt and Fresh Water, Inshore and Offshore. Our members come from all over Southern California and range from novice to the most tournament savy elite anglers found anywhere. Our club members have won or placed at the top of the leader board in a great deal of tournaments both locally and internationally.
Our tournaments range from Inshore/Island Tournaments for Halibut, White Sea Bass, Calico Bass, and Yellowtail to Offshore Tournaments for Tuna, Albacore, and Yellowtail. Our Annual Marlin Tournament is hosted at Catalina Island each year in September and we always have a great showing and as always a fun time is had by all. We also have two International Tournaments held in Mexico with one being held in Cabo San Lucas in January and the other being held at the East Cape in May. Our tournaments follow both IGFA and Southwest Anglers Rules
We have monthly meetings that are held the second Wednesday of every month from February through October. Our meetings include a tasty dinner and always have a great Guest Speaker. These speaker's topics vary in subject depending on the time of year and upcoming tournemants. These speakers are normally industry professionals including Professional Sportfishing Captains, Industry Journalists, Tournament Professionals, and other Industry Professionals. The meetings are scheduled for 7-9pm and are held at the Redondo Beach Yacht Club in King Harbor, Redondo Beach.
Our club also has both a Holiday Party and Annual Awards Banquet in which members are honored for their angling achievements during the prior year for both individual and team events. Junior Angler Awards, Club Awarded Accoplishments (Buttons), and line-class records are all recognized during this annual event. Perpetual Trophies carry the name of the Anglers or Team for the life of the award.
The King Harbor Marlin Club is great place for the novice to advanced anglers (of all ages) to meet a group of like-minded people who share the love of fishing. Our club members support and assist each other and will often lead you right to the fish. You do not have to have a big boat to join our club, in fact you don't need a boat at all! You just need the will to fish and have fun. The dues for our club are extremely affordable and the dinners at our General Meetings are worth the yearly dues.
If you are interested in getting more information, attending a Monthly Meeting, or joining our club please feel free to call me at 310-850-3624.
We look forward to meeting you.
